The Ministry of Education, Early Childhood Unit provides training of teachers and policy guidelines. Monthly seminars are held to implement curriculum instruction and development. There is a vibrant community support group which plays a significant role in the life of the centre. We have constructed a school garden, where we plant fruits and vegetables. The garden is manned by the students and the youth club.
Apart from the Early Childhood Program we have the following in place:

4. Elder Care Program
Community Outreach
In an effort to make a difference in the community, St. Patrick’s through the assistance of volunteers have built Five (5) houses and have refurbished the humble dwellings of the elderly with the community. This includes painting; and adding when possible new items of furniture to these houses.

St. Monica’s Home continues to provide its residents with the very best care that it can afford, with the aid of our many friends and supporters. We have provided in house training for all staff members and have had six of our seven nurses certified by NCTVET as geriatric caregivers or Practical Nurse Level 1. We offer a variety of programmes inclusive of a remedial programme, which serves youths beginning at ages ten (10) years old. At this stage students are being prepared to sit the Grade Six achievement Test (GSAT) and the Grade Nine Achievement Test (GNAT), which will enable them to be filtered back into the regular school system (high and technical schools) and also for them to enroll in one of our skill programme.
