charity focusThe St. Patrick’s Foundation, a non-profit, human and community development organization, was established in 1994 and serves over 1200 people in the West Kingston inner city communities of Olympic Gardens, Waterhouse, Seaview Gardens, Riverton and Calalloo Mews. It is focused on alleviating human suffering and offering support to people in poor, deprived, communities while empowering them to become self-reliant and responsible citizens.

The Foundation operates two community centres, an early childhood centre and a home for persons living without the necessary resources to provide for themselves and adults with HIV / AIDS. Through their centres they provide skills training for young people 17 years and over, in the areas of Woodwork, Food Preparation, Electrical Installation, Business Administration and Cosmetology.

While the Foundation strives to become selfsufficient, they also try to partner with corporate Jamaica in raising funds for their organization‘s programmes. They are therefore pleading to corporate Jamaica to help them fulfill theirmandate by sponsoring a programme, offering cash or kind, or sponsoring a teacher’s annual salary.

The PSOJ invites its members to support the St. Patrick’s Foundation and make a difference in the lives of those who have no alternative means, as we all try to make Jamaica the place of choice to
live, work, raise families and do business.
