The St Patrick’s Foundation last Wednesday launched its women’s sexual and reproductive health campaign – My Body, My Responsibility, targeting women ages 15 – 40 years old in the communities of Seaview Gardens, Riverton City, Olympic Gardens and Waterhouse, as well as other surrounding communities in the Kingston 11 area.

The launch was held at the foundation’s head office based in Seaview Gardens and saw a number of women coming out to participate in the event.

The foundation earlier this year won a US$20,000 grant from US Embassy in Kingston after a successful project pitch proposal for the Embassy’s Women’s History Month Competition.

The campaign is scheduled to run for a duration of six months, October 2019 – March 2020 and will be focused on educating, informing and improving awareness around women’s sexual and reproductive health; encouraging young girls and women to take control of their bodies, making good choices and empowering them to make better decisions.
